Do you already have a Vision Statement for your business? A neat, one-liner that succinctly describes your core philosophy behind your consulting services?
I’m betting that you are hiding behind that perfectly-crafted motto.
If you are reading this article, I think you know it too.
You are destined to impact millions of people through your work and a sentence is a lost opportunity to declare to the universe what you are meant to do.
I invite you to expand your Vision Statement to a 360° Vision.
What do I mean by that?
Here are the three characteristics of your 360° Vision.
IMPACTFUL
What kind of impact does your business have on:
- your life,
- your family life,
- your clients,
- their families,
- your local community, and
- the whole world?
What are the ripple effects of the benefits of your work? What kind of impact does your business have three to five years from now in all of these different realms?
Take some time to journal about this.
INCLUSIVE
The second characteristic I recommend that your vision has is that it’s inclusive.
Who is involved in your business? If you are a solopreneur right now, who supports you so that you can serve others?
Do you have any of the following?
- Business coach
- Mentor
- Mastermind
- Advisory Board
- Bookkeeper
- Webmaster
- Accountant
- Banker
- Attorney
- Editor
- Assistant
Three to five years from now, who do you have on your team? Did you choose to hire employees are do you prefer outsourcing? Are you managing the day-to-day operations or providing client services, or do you have a team in place to work with you?
Who’s on your staff? Who are your vendors?
Who are your clients and what are your clients like?
A powerful 360° Vision includes the people who helped you succeed in business and life.
INSPIRATIONAL
Would your 360° Vision inspire you through the tough times?
We’re nine months into the Coronvirus pandemic as I write this. Many business owners and their families are suffering from sudden shifts in our economy, safety, and environment.
Do you still love what you do? What is that special spark in your business that inspires you to keep going?
Also, if someone else were to read your 360° Vision, would it inspire them to want to be part of it? Whether they’re coming on as an employee, a vendor, a strategic alliance, or as a client?
Create and write down your 360° Vision so that it’s impactful, inclusive, and inspirational in all aspects of your life.
You can then create your WHYSMART Goals and manifest what you envision into reality.
